The border battle between the Upsala Cardinals and the Swanville Bulldogs was a long defensive game Thursday, May 9. The Cardinals won 1-0. Neither team scored until the bottom of the 10th inning when Zoey Leners hit a long walk-off single, letting Lydia Kokett run from third base to home plate. Royals softball team beats Pillager in last home game
The Royalton Royals softball team had a successful last home game of the season, Tuesday, May 14, beating Pillager 6-4. Pillager scored two runs at the top of the first inning. The Royals answered with a two-base hit from Libby Yourczek, sending Maddison Albright to home plate. In the next play, Brooke Wenner had a base hit, allowing Yourczek to run home and tie the game.
