Arrests On Domestic Violence Charges
A 60 year old College Station man is charged with violating a protection order while in the Brazos County jail awaiting a trip to prison for a prior conviction of violating protection orders against the same person. The arrest report from College Station police says the victim last month gave officers two threatening letters from her ex-boyfriend in violation of a lifetime protection order. In February, Robert Rankin and the district attorney’s office reached a plea agreement where Rankin received a four year prison sentence after he admitted to protection order violations in 2021. Prosecutors dismissed two violations that took place in 2022.

SOMERVILLE MAN ARRESTED ON DRUG CHARGES
A Somerville man was arrested Tuesday on drug charges. Brenham Police report that Tuesday night at 11:00, Officer Ashley Rodriguez and Corporal Armando Guerra conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Highway 105 and East Blue Bell Road. Marijuana and THC oil were located inside the vehicle during a probable cause search. The driver, Patrick Donnell Pool Jr., 28 of Somerville, was placed under arrest for Possession of Marijuana, less than 2 oz., and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

ANDERSON – With the jury assembled, a repeat offender accepted a plea agreement that will return him to prison for a 10-year sentence. Jockeith Donielle Goree, age 45, pled guilty to Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1-4 grams. On Oct. 18, 2019 law enforcement and medical personnel responded to a single-vehicle accident on Texas Business 6 south of Navasota. Goree, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle was observed by medics running in an erratic manner on the highway.
