The following is a portion of a letter recently sent to the 1st Selectman
The following is a portion of a letter recently sent to 1st Selectman Todd Carusillo:. I am writing to express deep disappointment in the decision to again rapidly pursue development of 190 Sharon Turnpike when you had, less than two weeks ago, told the public that you were going to build behind the firehouse. Prior to that you were going to put up storage at the existing public works. Both of those options were favorable to the public. Why would you not complete an unbiased needs assessment and use our existing locations in accordance with the POCD?

The $32 million enlargement and rebuilding of Taxiway B South at Westfield-Barnes Regional Airport will result in additional, but temporary, jet noise south of the airfield. CBS 6 Rewind: The Berkshires' own Amityville Horror
Lee, MA (WRGB) — No spinning heads or pea soup, but unearthly growls, vicious threats and dancing stuffed bears turning a modest home in the Berkshires into its own version of the Amityville Horror. "I walked into the room. My wife was in a state of shock. It was...
Great Barrington’s decision to outsource lifeguards at Lake Mansfeld to a questionable Georgia-based company is concerning
I am writing to express my extreme displeasure with the recent decision made by the town of Great Barrington regarding the lifeguard services contract for Lake Mansfield. During the Town Parks & Recreation Committee meeting held on May 13, 2024, it was revealed that the town has entered into a contract with a company from Georgia to supply lifeguards to the lake, sidelining Berkshire South Regional Community Center (BSRCC), which has provided this service for the past 18 years.

Westfield Health Bulletin: Education, capabilities vary among nursing certifications
We celebrated Nursing Week last week. Given the importance of nurses in health care, the nursing profession itself, the education and roles are varied and can be confusing to the lay person. Roles can be clear or muddied in many situations and perceptions. Would a general want to be called a private, a ship captain be called a first mate, Babe Ruth mistaken for a batboy, a chef for a dishwasher?
