Miami Home Prices Drop To $496,000

Home prices in Miami continue to fall. They were down 4.3% in October compared to the previous year. It’s unclear whether the theory about storms and rising home insurance is to blame. However, the drop is worse than the national average.

Palm Beach County on track to break $30 million-plus home sales record

One of the latest big-ticket home sales in Palm Beach County is a $35 million dollar mansion in Jupiter's Admiral Cove . The home in the exclusive gated community along the Intracoastal Waterway reportedly has a 22-car garage, unusual perhaps, but its upper 10-figure sales price isn't exactly a rarity this year across Palm Beach County. According to a report issued by the South Florida Realtors association , Palm Beach County is on track to shatter its record for $30 million-plus home sales. As of September 2026, the county had already recorded 21 sales in that price range — a number that ties the existing record for a year. The pace this year, with two months left, has the county on track for 28 sales of $30 million-plus mansions to be recorded by the end of December. The dollar numbers are staggering but not surprising. A migration of high-end people, and their wealth, to Palm Beach County in the past decade, and especially since the COVID pandemic, has injected billions of dollars more worth of reality to the "Wall Street South" brand. Hedge funds and corporate offices have filled office towers, while a slew of other enterprises, including healthcare providers,

New owners at Boca Raton's Mizner Park plan big changes | Exclusive

Mizner Park, the retail, office and residential complex that first defined Boca Raton's downtown decades ago, sold to CP Group and The Georgetown Company on Nov. 5. The sale marks a new era for the 35-year-old property along Federal Highway in the city's core. The mixed-use project, built in 1991, was among the first "live, work, play" centers built in the country. Mizner Park was built by Boca Raton-based developer Tom Crocker on the site of an old shopping mall. Most recently, it was owned by Brookfield Properties. Now Crocker's company, CP Group, owns Mizner Park once again. CP Group's purchase of Mizner Park is the second major Boca Raton transaction for the company in the past two months. On Sept. 10, CP Group sold the Boca Raton Innovation Campus, known as BRiC , a 124-acre office complex and former IBM campus, to Related Ross. The West Palm Beach real estate firm is led by billionaire real estate magnate and Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross. CP Group bought Mizner Park with The Georgetown Company, a New York-based real estate firm that owns properties across the country, including the Shoppes at Woolbright in Boynton Beach. Miami and Miami Beach said no - are voters finally reclaiming local control? | Opinion

Voters in Miami and Miami Beach made their voices heard on Tuesday when they scuttled two proposed deals with developers on public land. In Miami, voters solidly rejected a proposed lease of 28 acres of city-owned property on Virginia Key to redevelop the existing Rickenbacker and Marine Stadium marinas — a fight that the owner of Gramps Getaway, a bar on Virginia Key, called nothing less than a battle for “the soul of Miami.” The proposal may have been doomed from the start: The terms of the deal were a decade old, and even city commissioners had reservations about putting it on the ballot after being forced to do so by a judge. The Herald Editorial Board recommended against it. In Miami Beach, voters gave a resounding “no” to another developer project. The referendum would have extended a lease for city-owned property near Lincoln Road, potentially until 2132. The office and retail building at 1691 Michigan Ave., called Rivani, is slated to be the future home of Playboy’s relocated headquarters. The deal nixed by voters would have increased the rent the city would receive from the lease, but it also would have reduced onsite parking from 700 spaces to 475,

Plans for luxury hotel, condos at Suni Sands advance in Jupiter

A proposed waterfront development at the former Suni Sands mobile home park site in Jupiter has won preliminary approvals from the Town Council amid opposition from some residents and local environmental groups. Charles Modica, the Hobe Sound developer who bought the 10.5 acres in 2013, wants to build 44 luxury condos, a hotel with a restaurant and a spa, retail space and a 17-boat slip marina along the Loxahatchee River. The condos could be affiliated with the hotel. Suni Sands, on State Road A1A half a mile west of the Jupiter Inlet, is more than one of the town's last vacant waterfront parcels. Studies have found it contains artifacts from indigenous people who lived there as long as 5,000 years ago. In January, Modica and Jupiter reached a settlement that could give the town ownership of more than half of the site, which would be preserved for public use, if the development is approved. Jupiter council member cites seagrass in opposing Suni Sands project On Oct. 29, the Town Council voted 4-1 to approve first readings of four zoning and land-use ordinances that would allow Modica to proceed. They require second readings for final approval. The town has not announced
