    Incumbents Rule the Day in Cobb Judicial Races

    Incumbent judges were winners in Cobb Tuesday in three nonpartisan races, according to unofficial results from Cobb Elections.

    In the only contested race for a Cobb Superior Court judgeship, incumbent Julie Jacobs fended off a challenge from Sylvia Goldman.

    With 100% of precincts reporting, Jacobs had 51,360 votes, or 68.15%, to Goldman's 24,004 votes, or 31.85%.

    In the race for Division 1 Cobb State Court Judge, Post 7, incumbent Carl Bowers defeated two challengers – Crystal Stevens McElrath and Matt McMaster.

    Bowers had 42,752 votes, or 56.8%, with 100% of precincts reporting, while McElrath had 23,177 votes, or 30.8%, and McMaster had 9,387 votes, or 12.4%.

    Incumbent Cobb Probate Court Judge Kelli Wolk beat former Cobb Superior Court Clerk Rebecca Keaton. Wolk had 44,903 votes, or 59.3%, to Keaton's 30,772 votes, or 40.7%, with 100% of precincts reporting.

    All other judges running in Cobb were incumbents and ran unopposed.
