Yucca Middle School all-clear after being placed in ‘Secure & Teach’ on Monday

CLOVIS, N.M. (KAMR/KCIT) — Officials with Clovis Municipal Schools reported that Yucca Middle School is now all-clear after the school was placed into “Secure & Teach” due to a report of a “possible security concern” on Monday morning.

Officials with CMS detailed that at around 11 a.m. on Monday, the school was placed into “Secure & Teach” while administrators and law enforcement investigated the security concern. During the investigation, officials added that all entrances and exits were secured and instruction continued as normal.

Officials “did not find the report credible” and went on to lift the “Secure & Teach.” Further, class schedules and activities continued as normal following the status lift.
