The Bosque Museum Docents will present “May in Manhattan Tea and Style Show” as their annual fundraiser on Sunday, May 5, from 2 p.m. 4 p.m. at the Bosque Museum. Those attending will enjoy an array of delicious finger foods (and hot tea served tableside) along with a variety of the latest beautiful fashions featured by local merchants in Bosque County.

Some ten stylish summer ensembles worn by five models will be viewed while the audience enjoys a beautiful, assorted buffet complete with homemade finger sandwiches, mini quiches, cream puffs, and cheesecakes. The museum will be decorated to reflect the familiar Manhattan skyline and Statue of Liberty theme. Tea will be served in porcelain China from docent’s personal collections.

Style show partners are Albrecht’s Pharmacy, Lady Bugs, Main Street Antiques and Interiors, Maize Grace, and Market at the Mill. Docent president Cindy Upton said that while hats, gloves and pearls are optional, they have proven fun and popular in the past. A prize will be award for “Best Hat.”

Door prizes and a multitude of raffle items, compliments of local businesses and docent friends, are available for purchase prior to the style show. Raffle tickets are $5 each or six for $20. Several generous sponsors have helped to underwrite the event.

The Tea and Style Show has become a popular annual event each spring and the primary fundraiser for the docents, who work to assist the mission and efforts of the Bosque Museum.

Tickets are limited and available for purchase online for $30 at www.bosquemuseum.org/teastyle or by visiting the museum in person at 301 South Avenue Q in Clifton.

For questions, contact the Bosque Museum at (254) 675-3845.
