The Bosque Museum’s 7th Sporting Clays Tournament this past Saturday, April 27, was a hit, raising the most operating funds for the museum ever!

The event, held at 3R Farms Sporting Clays, just north of Clifton, was able to proceed despite the heavy rain the day before and threatening skies during the event. While the rain held off, the wind proved to be a worth adversary for the competitors.

Thistournamentcontinuestobeawonderful time for friends to gather for fun and games. Special thanks goes to the Platinum Sponsors, 3R Farms, Cedar Ridge Ranch, Kathy & Steve Harr, and the Petol-Posey Giving Fund.

The Sporting Clays Tournament began in 2015 and has more than doubled both in annual funds raised and participants.

Museum Executive Director Erin Shields credited the committee for this year’s success: “Dee Anna Walker, B.C. Bennett, Tom Blossom, Steve Harr, Tom Henderson, Amanda Hoff, Kat Kennedy, and Toby Rouquette start work on this event in January every year, and don’t stop their hard work until the next year.”

3R Farms swept the team awards, and their team members Toby Rouquette and Clay Pouncey took top individual honors.

This year’s contest was tightly packed, as many contests were decided by a point or less!

Additional thanks go to Gold Sponsors Susan & Richard Frazier and Douglass Automotive Group.
