May begins the patriotic flag season for the Robert E. Binford VFW Post 8553 in Clifton withArmed Forces Day on Saturday, May 18, and Memorial Day on Monday, May 27.

The local VFW Post encourages Clifton businesses and citizens to display their pride in our country by posting US flags in front of their businesses and homes on patriotic holidays.

Post 8553 provides flag service for individualsandbusinesseswhowanttodisplay their support for our country, our veterans, and those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we enjoy.

When people drive through Clifton on major patriotic holidays, we want them to be inspired by the many U.S. Flags flying in the breeze that demonstrate the kind of community Clifton is.

Businesses and homeowners who are located on major thoroughfares are particularly encouraged to show the flag.

One year of flag service covers eight patriotic holidays and can be requested by sending a donation of $40 to VFW Post 8553, PO Box 161, Clifton, TX 76634 by Wednesday, May 1, 2024, to ensure that your flag is flown on Armed Forces Day.

Please include a note with the physical address, mailing address, and the name of the business where the flag is to be flown.
