ST. CLAIRSVILLE , Ohio (WTRF) — A recent drug bust in Belmont County reportedly took enough drugs off the streets to prevent several deaths.

Belmont County Sheriff Dave Lucas credited his drug interdiction team with the arrest of two alleged traffickers — Terrance Bradley of Cleveland and Alfred Alexander of Martins Ferry.

The sheriff said there was a “substantial amount” of methamphetamine, crack cocaine and fentanyl.

He said a lot of traffickers arrested in his jurisdiction are from Cleveland.

I wish it was just easy to tell them to pack their bags and get out. But it’s all about the money. Get down here, they get our people addicted to it. And that’s cash in their pocket. Because drug dealers do nothing but deal in cash.

The sheriff said both suspects are facing trafficking and possession charges.
