County commissioners pass a new budget by one vote during a contentious discussion
The Washington County Commissioners on Tuesday approved new budgets for Fiscal Year 2025 — just. After some occasionally heated discussion, the commissioners voted 3-2 to approve an FY 2025 operating budget of more than $368 million and a capital budget totaling $65.8 million. Commissioners' President John Barr and Commissioner Wayne Keefer voted against approval.
