Longview is going to the dogs this weekend. The Longview Kennel Club’s 67th AKC Licensed All Breed Dog Show is Friday and Sunday, with contests looking for the “best of” in different competitions — the dogs that are most representative of their breeds; also a junior showcase that’s about how a young handler shows a dog instead of judging the dog itself; obedience competitions led by the Tyler Obedience Training Club; and a dock diving Event.
Baseball Earns ABCA Team Academic Honors
LONGVIEW, Texas — The LeTourneau baseball team notched one more honor for the 2024 season as the YellowJackets earned Team Academic Excellence accolades from the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA). It is the second time in the last three seasons LeTourneau has garnered the award. The YellowJackets also collected the award in 2022. To earn the honor, teams must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale during the academic year.
