    Rick Springfield coming to Clarksburg Amphitheater this fall

    CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WBOY) — Grammy award-winner and 1980s pop singer and songwriter Rick Springfield will be making a stop in Clarksburg this fall, City Parks of Clarksburg announced Tuesday.

    Springfield is set to play at the Clarksburg Amphitheater on Sept. 28, 2024, at 7 p.m. as part of the Park’s Summer Concert Series, which is set to feature acts like Scotty McCreery and “Commodores” throughout the summer and early fall.

    In his career, Springfield has sold 25 million albums and racked up 17 appearances on the U.S. Top 40 chart through hits like “Jessie’s Girl,” “An Affair of the Heart” and “Love Somebody.”

    On top of his music career, Springfield has also had a notable acting career with appearances in HBO’s “True Detective” as Dr. Irving Pitlor as well as his brief portrayal of Lucifer in CW’s hit show “Supernatural” in 2016.

    “It is really exciting to have a legendary power-pop artist like Rick Springfield coming to Clarksburg. His resume of hits and awards speak for themselves, and I couldn’t be more proud of having someone of this caliber at the Amp,” Recreation Coordinator of Parks Trevor DeVaul said.

    Tickets to see Springfield will go on sale for members of the Springfield Fan Club on Wednesday, May 15 at 10 a.m. Tickets for the general public will go on sale on Friday, May 17, also at 10 a.m. Prices starts at $50 for general admission with reserved and premium seating options available. Tickets purchased day of will have their prices increased by $5.
