Man sentenced for selling meth near Clarksburg playground

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WBOY) — A man with multiple previous drug arrests in north central West Virginia has been sentenced for selling methamphetamine near a public playground in Clarksburg.

Antwann Horton, 29, was last arrested in February 2023 in Clarksburg after about 29 grams of methamphetamine and 26 grams of a substance field tested positive for fentanyl were found during a search. 12 News also covered Horton’s arrest in Fairmont in September 2021 when fentanyl and a stolen handgun were found in an apartment that he was staying in; he was identified by police as a Detroit resident at the time.

Bridgeport officials ask for help identifying man

Horton has been sentenced to spend 10 years and one month in federal prison, followed by six years of supervised release for the distribution of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a protected location in connection to drug dealing activity in Harrison County.
