CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WBOY) — The Clarksburg Children’s House Montessori School held its second Montessori in Bloom gala Saturday night at the Morris in Clarksburg.

The school has been located in the Glen Elk area of Clarksburg for over 16 years and has had a significant impact on the community said school officials. Funds raised from the gala will allow the school to offer more scholarships and purchase new classroom materials, as well as support future building expansion.

“So, the fundraising does a lot of different things that allow us to replace materials as we grow, fund, and stock new classrooms as needed,” Fundraising Chair Kaitlin Walker said. “It also allows us to provide scholarships which is a really important reason that we do this, it allows us to offer this type of education to families who may not traditionally be able to afford it.”

At the 2023 gala, the school introduced a Seeds of Peace Scholarship for $3,000, which goes to a family that exemplifies peaceful parenting and peaceful community relations.

The Clarksburg Children’s House Montessori School expressed their gratitude towards the parents, alumni and community members for their help in securing the future of the school for years to come.
