    Tornado spotted near Clarendon Wednesday

    UPDATE: 8:00 p.m.

    At 7:58 p.m. CDT, a severe thunderstorm warming has been issued for the storm in Ochiltree County, set to expire at 9 p.m. CDT. Golf ball sized hail and 60 mph wind gusts are possible with this storm.

    This is the same supercell that was previously tornado warned, but the tornado warning has expired at this time.

    UPDATE: 5:56 p.m.

    The US National Weather Service Amarillo Texas announced that sections of Ochiltree and Roberts County are under tornado warning until 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

    Officials report that as of 5:59 p.m. severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado in the general location of 13 miles southwest of Wolf creek Park, 22 miles south of Perryton and movement continues to the east.

    DONLEY COUNTY, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — A tornado was confirmed in Donley County seven miles west of Clarendon on Wednesday.

    At around 4 p.m. on May 1, a tornado warning was issued for Donley County’s central portion including Clarendon. The tornado was confirmed by KAMR Local 4 News camera in Clarendon.

    The tornado stayed west of Clarendon without entering the city, and the tornado warning expired at 5 p.m.

    The US National Weather Service Amarillo Texas also reports that golf ball size hail was present in Clarendon.
