11th annual Hofman Memorial Horseshoe Tournament set for July 4
The 11th annual John Hofman Memorial Horseshoe Tournament will be held July 4 at Lincoln’s McBean Park horseshoe pits. Jeff Williams and the McBean/Lincoln Horseshoe Pitching Club are presenting the tournament on behalf of the Native Sons of the Golden West Silver Star Parlor 63. Profits will be donated to the parlor’s scholarship fund and 4th of July Fireworks Fund. Silver Star uses the funds raised through two fundraising events each year for various local projects, including informational plaques on historic sites, scholarships, supporting the Lincoln Area Archives Museum and other community groups, and more.
