Three people injured in two-vehicle crash on Interstate 15 in Chubbuck

CHUBBUCK — Three people were transported to the hospital after a two-vehicle wreck on Interstate 15 southbound in Chubbuck earlier this week.

Idaho State Police said the crash occurred around 2:20 p.m. Monday when a southbound 2017 GMC Terrain rear-ended a 2016 Honda CR-V just south of the freeway's Northgate exit, state police said.

The impact caused the Honda to overturn and come to rest on its roof on the freeway's southbound lanes.

The adult male occupant of the GMC and the adult male and adult female occupants of the Honda were all transported via Pocatello Fire Department ambulances to Portneuf Medical Center for treatment, state police said.

The accident victims' names and conditions have not been released.

The wreck partially blocked Interstate 15's southbound lanes for over an hour.

The crash remains under investigation by state police.
