Letter: November election is about right versus wrong
This midterm election has me on pins and needles, and I know I am not the only one. In my lifetime I have never seen an administration like this. I am sick of the current administration, especially President Trump. A convicted felon should never have been allowed to take office in the first place. The fact that he was elected after being convicted by a jury of his peers shows how much our sense of decency has been lost.

Some Salinas residents fight to keep Cesar Chavez name
Strong support for keeping the Cesar Chavez name on a Salinas library and park emerged Oct. 21 during a community meeting on the city's renaming process. Over two dozen people attended the meeting at Cesar Chavez Library, some carrying signs bearing the late labor leader's image as they voiced support for keeping the names of the library and park unchanged. Juan Manuel Moran said he felt it was important to attend the meeting because he spent many years working in agriculture and witnessed changes in working conditions that he attributed to Cesar Chavez's advocacy and the UFW, the union he co-founded with Dolores Huerta . "I worked for 23 years under the union contract and that's why many people here mention that thanks to that we have a medical plan, a pension plan and a lot of benefits," Moran said. "That's why I support keeping the Cesar Chavez name." Ofelia Flores, who worked in the vineyards for 34 years before retiring, said Cesar Chavez fought so that "we could have dignity" and did not think it fair for his name to be removed from the public buildings. "We had good benefits and a medical plan that helped all my family,"
