Candidates announced for Miss Chisholm Scholarship Pageant

CHISHOLM—There are 10 candidates vying for the title of Miss Chisholm 2024, according to the Chisholm Kiwanis Club.

The new Miss Chisholm and 2024 Little Miss Chisholm and 2024 Little Mister Chisholm are set to be crowned at a ceremony set for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, in the Chisholm High School Auditorium.

Miss Chisholm candidates are judged on their initial application, focusing on community service and activity involvement. They also complete an essay, and participate in interviews with scores on presentation, appearance, response to questions, and overall participation in the pre-pageant activities, according to organizers.

Scholarship awards are $1,000 for Miss Chisholm and $500 for each of the two princesses.

The Little Miss and Little Mister candidates participate in the pre-pageant activities that include make a craft project and delivering the craft and cookies to residents at Heritage Manor. The Little candidates participate in an interview to gather more information about each of them and to include in their pageant introduction. The Little winners are chosen in a random drawing prior to the event, and all of the Little candidates receive a medal and a gift bag.
