The Greater Jude Tabernacle 2nd Annual Giveaway took place on April 13 at 135 County Road, Chilton.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., free diapers and wipes, canned goods, personal hygiene and sundry products, candy, and gently used clothing and shoes were available, promoting sustainability and helping those in need. Chips, donuts, cookies, and plenty of cold water accompanied charcoal-grilled hamburgers and hot dogs with all the fixings. The best part? Witnessing a community fostering fellowship, seeing children at play, encouraging growth, and promoting outreach.

Selflessly giving their time and talents, these volunteers connected with the Chilton community to make a real difference in the lives of people in need. Volunteers were Greg Brewer, Jeff Chaneyworth, Sara Chaneyworth, Annette Conley, Pastor Robert Curtis, Lady Donna Curtis, Ceola Foster, Rosandra Hartsfield, Robert Mayo, Deacon Mark McKee, Vanessa Moreno, Shirley King-Piper, Jaela Salazar, Cicely Tatum,  Jose Virella, and Myriam Virella.

This event was sponsored by the Believers Christian Cathedral, Apostles Billy and Dot Clark, New Life Church of North, TX Overseer Williams and Pastor Muriel Williams, and spearheaded by Superintendent Robert Curtis and Lady Donna Curtis of Greater Jude Tabernacle. Additional partners were Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Agent Myriam Virella and Rosondra Hartsfield, Prairie View Texas A&M University Cooperative Extension Program Agent.

The Greater Jude Tabernacle is a member of the Texas A&M AgriLife-supported Falls Community ARC Coalition, providing practical, accessible solutions to everyday challenges. In all things and in all areas, the mission of Texas AgriLife Extension in Falls County is to improve the quality of life of county residents.
