Well, it was ceratinly one way to wake people up. On Friday morning at around 10:23 AM, an approximately 4.8 magnitude earthquake struck much of the east of the United States. It's been reported that the earthquake primarily occurred in the New York City/New Jersey areas. However, the effects were felt as far south as Maryland and as far north as Maine.

A corrections officer is one of 17 people who have been arrested after a six-month investigation into illegal drug trafficking at the Duval County jail. Jacksonville Sheriff T.K. Waters on Tuesday announced the arrest of corrections officer Kobe Collett, 23, the fifth employee the agency has arrested this year.

The body of a fourth man was found inside of a car in Fontana six days after he was shot to death; his killers recorded his dying moments on a cell phone, according to the OCDA .
