Jenni-O hatchery to lay off 38 employees
BARRON, Wis. (WEAU) - Hormel Foods notified the Department of Workforce Development that its Jennie-O hatchery in Barron will be laying off several employees this summer. According to paperwork filed by the company dated, April 23, it will be eliminating 38 jobs at its 506 West Division Avenue location in Barron, Wis.
Over 300 Wisconsinites to be laid off after manufacturer opts to close facility
HAWKINS, Wis. (WFRV) – Over 300 Wisconsinites will be without a job after corporate officials at a manufacturing company made the decision to shut down permanently. According to a letter submitted to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, Jeld-Wen, a company that specializes in windows and doors, will be closing its only Wisconsin facility in the village of Hawkins, Rusk County.
