    CHESTERTOWN POLICE

    April 16, Ofc. Travis Burke served a District Court Arrest Warrant on Khori Danielle Berry, age 30, of Chestertown. Berry was charged with: assault 2nd degree (four counts); burglary 3rd degree; burglary 4th degree (two counts); dangerous weapon with intent to injure (two counts); harass:a course of conduct; malicious destruction of property more than $1000; and malicious destruction of property less than $1000. Berry was held at the Kent County Detention Center without bail. Case closed by arrest.

    April 16, Cpl. Chris Schwink responded to the 200 block of Spring Avenue and issued a Must Appear Criminal Citation to Ronnie Hayword Reed, Jr., age 28, of Chestertown. Reed was charged with trespassing. Court date was pending at the time of this report.

    April 17, Pfc. Brandon McGinnis responded to the 100 block of Edge of Town Drive for a report of a past assault. Pfc McGinnis arrested Sergio Carlos Arrieta, Jr., age 41, of Chestertown. Arrieta was charged with: assault 2nd degree; disorderly conduct; and intoxicated public disturbance. Arrieta was held at the Kent County Detention Center and subsequently released on an unsecured personal bond of $2,500.

    Apr. 21, while in the area of Morgnec Road and Talbot Boulevard, Ofc. Travis Burke issued three Must Appear Traffic Citations to William Arthur Holland, age 53, of Millington. Holland was charged with: driving while license suspended; driving motor vehicle on highway with suspended license; and driving on highway without required license and authorization. Court date was pending at the time of this report.

    KENT COUNTY SHERIFF

    April 16, DFC K. Griffitts attempted to stop a Ford Truck for a traffic violation on Rt 20 near Chestertown. The vehicle failed to stop and led deputies and allied agencies on a lengthy pursuit. During the pursuit, the operator attempted to strike DFC Griffitts with his vehicle. The operator, who was later identified as Christopher J. Puzio (age 45 of New York) later stopped and was apprehended while walking away from his vehicle. An odor of alcohol was detected coming from Puzio’s breath and person and he was subsequently charged with Attempted First Degree Assault, numerous traffic offenses included fleeing and eluding as well as DUI / DWI. Puzio was seen by the District Court Commissioner and was held at the Kent County Detention Center without Bond.

    April 17, DFC A. Freeman served a Baltimore City District Court Arrest Warrant for First Degree Assault on Singelton Blake Duppins, age 23 of Baltimore, MD. Duppins was held at the Kent County Detention Center without bond.

    April 17, DFC M. Piasecki responded to the 5700 block of Chesapeake Villa Rd., Rock Hall for a report of Trespassing. Upon arriving, DFC Piasecki located Andre Sisco, age 70 of Rock Hall on the premises of which he had previously been issued a no-trespass order. Sisco was arrested and at that time found to be in possession of CDS; not cannabis. He was charged with trespassing and possession of CDS and released upon being issued Criminal Citations.

    April 18, DFC C. Rhodes is investigating an assault that occurred in the 21000 block of Rock Hall Rd. The victim reported that he was assaulted by a known suspect. The suspect, Heather Lynne Kelley, age 35 of Rock Hall, was later charged with second degree assault. She was released after being issued a Kent County District Court criminal summons.

    April 19, Cpl J. Proudfoot is investigating a fraudulent real estate transaction in which the victim reported that an unknown suspect stole the identity of the victims and sold a parcel of land owned by the victims located on Oxford Drive, Galena. The amount of loss is valued between $25,000 and $100,000.

    April 21, Cpl. K. Griffitts served a Kent County Circuit Court Bench Warrant for failure to appear on Dashawn Chavez Lister, age 26 of Millington. Lister was held at the Kent County Detention Center without bond.

    April 21, Cpl P. Hudson is investigating a theft of US currency as well as electronic funds that was facilitated through a fraudulent CashApp account created in the victim’s name. Under investigation.

    April 22, DFC F. Baker is investigating a reported assault that occurred on April 8, 2024 on Creamery Street in Kennedyville. The victim was assaulted by a known suspect. Under investigation.
