Chesterfield boy stars in “Unfrosted” movie alongside Jerry Seinfeld, Melissa McCarthy

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A 12-year-old boy from the Chester area of Chesterfield County has starred in his first feature film, “Unfrosted” among co-stars Jerry Seinfeld and Melissa McCarthy.

Bailey Sheetz was featured on NBC’s “Little Big Shots” in 2020 when he was only 8 years old, where he showed off of his unique hobbies — collecting, fixing up and diagnosing old vacuum cleaners, according to a spokesperson for Chesterfield County government.

Sheetz also had a two-season voiceover role in the animated children’s series, “Duck and Goose,” where he was the voice of Squirrel.

Sheetz’ parents, Bryan and Nancy are both teachers in Chesterfield — Bryan at Thomas Dale High School and Nancy at Bensley Elementary School.

Last week, Sheetz walked the Hollywood red carpet at the premiere of “Unfrosted,” and then flew across the country and hosted a private screening for family and friends at the Thomas Dale High School auditorium, the spokesperson said.

When asked how he feels about this newfound success and stardom, Sheetz kept it humble.

“It’s really a weird feeling to see yourself on screen and think, ‘I’ve done that, I know all these people, we filmed this movie together two years ago,’” he added. “But at this point, I look at it as that’s my job. That’s what I do. If I’m going to go down this road, that’s just how it’s going to be.”
