Myrtle Beach City Council on Tuesday unanimously approved the city’s next fiscal year plan – a $330 million budget with 14 new staff positions and no tax increase. City staff should also expect a pay increase in the upcoming 2024-25 budget. Salary and benefits make up the largest governmental fund increase by the city: 68%. The governmental fund – which includes expenses for insurance, salary and benefits and maintenance and repairs – will increase by $22.6 million, according to the budget.
