Guthrie Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton has begun scheduling elective surgeries again after a cyberattack cut off access to patient records and disrupted services. The May 8 ransomware attack targeted Ascension, Lourdes’ former parent organization. Lourdes was still transitioning to the Guthrie health care network, which acquired Lourdes in February.

Binghamton Police are investigating after a dog was shot Monday night on Glenwood Avenue. Details are scarce, but according to Binghamton Police, at approximately 6:30 p.m. Monday, members of the patrol division responded to 61 Glenwood Avenue for a report of a dog that had been shot.
