Foxcroft Wine Co. , a Charlotte-based wine bar, restaurant, and bottle shop, is preparing to open a new location in Huntersville at 16915 Birkdale Commons Pkwy, Suite A .

The company’s fifth location is set to open in the Birkdale Village Shopping Center , next to Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar. Foxcroft Wine Co. announced the new location in summer 2022, with the hopes of opening the following spring. Now, owner Conrad Hunter tells What Now Charlotte that this site will open on May 22, provided there are no more delays. The company is also working on opening a new location in Raleigh that is currently under construction.

When the new Birkdale Village location opens, customers can expect a vibrant atmosphere with a full-service restaurant offering delicious shareable plates and delectable entrees. The space will also feature an expansive patio overlooking the village center. For those who don’t want to wait for these two new locations to open, customers can visit one of the four pre-existing locations at Greenville, Southpark, Dilworth, or Waverly.

“When we started in 2004, our original goal was to combine the convenience (and prices) of a retail wine shop with a from-scratch kitchen and the city’s best and most eclectic selection of wines by the glass,” according to the company’s website. “Nineteen years later, we’re still here, but we’ve refined the model, creating a full-service restaurant offering small plates designed to be shared and an extensive selection of wines (40+ by the glass and thousands of bottles). Our concept is deceptively simple, often emulated, but rarely achieved.”
