    Festival Food: Lovin’ Life Fest lists vendors including a Mr. K’s surprise appearance

    CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – The highly anticipated inaugural Lovin’ Life Music Festival kicks off on Friday and organizers have released its list of food and drink options featuring some surprise appearances.

    Preparations underway for inaugural Lovin’ Life Fest

    Mr. K’s Soft Serve Ice Cream, which served the QC for over 50 years and became a casualty to high-rise development in South End, will make a special appearance serving up cheeseburgers and dessert. Cheat’s Cheesesteaks will also have a booth and yes, you can get your steak with whiz and ‘wit or without’ onions.

    Other options include pulled pork from Blue Smokehouse, fried chicken from Bojangles, New Yor-style pizza from Libretto’s, tacos from Mamacita’s Food Truck, a gigantic milkshake from The Milkshake Spot, grilled cheese from The Big Cheese, and Asian fusion cuisine from Bun’d Up.

    If you are looking to ratchet things up a bit, you’ll be able to get a lobster roll from Lobster Rolls and More or a burger featuring grass-fed beef from Carolina Butcher. A full list can be found on the festival App .

    There will be several places to get a drink throughout the festival’s grounds including a Jack Daniel’s tailgate spot.

    The festival features three stages with shows beginning each day at 1 p.m. culminating with the headlining acts at 9:30 p.m.

    The fest offered a $300-plus three-day pass initially and has since introduced single-day passes for a little over $100 bucks. If you are debating, keep in mind that Queen City News is tracking possible inclement weather on both Saturday and Sunday.
