    Ginuwine, Paul Wall and more will play at Multifest in Charleston

    CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) — Ginuwine, Paul Wall, Brian McKnight and more will play at the 34th annual Multifest in Charleston.

    The multi-day event celebrating diversity will start on Aug. 1 and end on Aug. 4. Each night at the Schoenbaum Stage at Haddad Riverfront Park will feature live music.

    Here is the schedule for each night:

    Thursday, Aug. 1 – The Chuck Brown Band

    Multifest will kick off with The Chuck Brown Band as a part of Go-go Night.

    The name Chuck Brown is synonymous with the funk subgenre, being called “The Godfather of Go-Go.”

    While Brown is no longer with us, the band keeps his legacy alive bringing this fun style of music to the world.

    Friday, Aug. 2 – Monie Love & Ginuwine

    Monie Love will play on Aug. 2; “One of her biggest hits is It’s A Shame (My Sister).”

    Also on that Friday is Ginuwine. He is most well known for his song, “Pony,” which came out in 1996 and has been featured in many TV shows and movies.

    Saturday, Aug. 3 – Justin Young, Joe Little III, Petey Pablo and Brian McKnight

    Jazz musician Justin Young, Rude Boys lead singer Joe Little III, rapper Petey Pablo, and R&B legend Brian McKnight will play on Saturday, Aug. 3.

    McKnight has been nominated for a Grammy 17 times, with his biggest songs being “Back At One” and “Love Is.”

    Sunday, Aug. 4 – Kelontae Gavin, Paul Wall and The Original Lakeside Band

    Gospel Singer from South Carolina Kelontae Gavin will play on Sunday, Aug. 4.

    Paul Wall, a rapper and DJ from Houston known for his contributions to the southern hip-hop genre, will play. The Original Lakeside Band, a funk band from Ohio, will also play on Sunday.
