Paving work to cripple portion of U.S. 95 this weekend

Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Valley drivers have been dealing with lane restrictions for months on 95 South between Charleston and Tropicana, but things are going to kick up a notch this weekend.

Beginning Friday night at 7 and lasting through Monday morning at 5, both sides of 95 will be down to only one lane in each direction between Charleston and Tropicana for a marathon paving operation.

In addition to the lane restrictions on 95, the Tropicana onramp to 95 North, as well as the Boulder Highway onramps to both sides of 95 will be closed.

All restrictions are scheduled to lift by Monday morning at 5.

Boulder Highway is the suggested alternate to U.S. 95 once the paving work gets underway.

Major completion of the project is expected to wrap up in August
