Here’s when Lowcountry schools will be on summer break

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The weather is warming and schools across the Lowcountry will soon be on summer break.

Students have roughly five to six weeks left in the semester depending on their district.

Colleton County School District will be the first to let out for the summer. The district’s last day of school is Tuesday, May 28.

Summer break will begin after the last bell rings on Thursday, May 30 ^th for students in the Berkeley County School District.

Georgetown County and Williamsburg County schools will dismiss for the long break on Friday, May 31.

Dorchester School Districts 2 and 4 will be on break beginning Thursday, June 6.

Students in the Charleston County School District will be in class the latest. The district’s final day of school is Monday, June 10.
