Cogburn’s Big Wings , a local sports bar that offers some of the best hot wings in the Southeast Valley, is getting ready to open a new location in Chandler at the corner of Alma School and Warner Roads .

It’s been a roller coaster week for the company, having closed its seven-year-old location on the southeast corner of Cooper and Warner in Gilbert, according to a notice on the door. Now, co-owner Payton LaCivita tells What Now Phoenix that he is planning to open near the Pollack Warner Plaza and Goodyear Plaza. LaCivita couldn’t provide an exact opening date for the new Cogburn’s Big Wings but says the restaurant is awaiting county approval. The company still has two other locations in Gilbert and southeast Mesa.

When the new Cogburn’s Big Wings opens later this year, customers can expect a welcoming neighborhood bar and grill that offers everything from delicious food and drinks to dozens of TVs and a full bar. The restaurant takes pride in being a hot spot for popular sporting events, often advertising for upcoming UFC fights and NFL games. For happy hour, Cogburns offers $1 off drinks until 7 pm and 79-cent wings all night long.

“Cogburn’s is your home away from home,” according to the company’s website. “Join us for a quick lunch, to wind down after work, or one last stop for late-night drinks! With the best hot wings in the Southeast Valley, a $5 small bites menu, a full bar, and 22 ice-cold beers on tap… we have everything you need to get through the tough work week. With over 30 hot wing sauces to choose from, including originals like hot, medium, and mild to crazy flavors like peanut butter and jelly, hot honey mustard, and raspberry chipotle – We have a flavor for everyone!”
