    Rebels softball continues to make strong strides

    Champlin Park softball played two games last week, collecting two shutout victories on the road against St. Michael-Albertville and Coon Rapids on April 30 and May 1, respectively.

    The week began with a dominant performance on the road at St. Michael-Albertville on April 30 as the Rebels beat the Knights 10-0. Madison Hasselbring, Lauren Heltemes and Ava Abrahamson each scored two runs, while Ava Parent, Reese Reimler, Erin Kaluza and Chloe Postma each added one. Postma also collected an impressive four RBI on the day.

    Champlin Park kept the wins coming on May 1, beating Coon Rapids 9-0 on the road to improve their Northwest Suburban Conference record to 7-2, 9-2 overall.

    Reimler hit three RBI and scored two runs from four at-bats. Hannah Husom earned two RBI and two runs against Coon Rapids, while Amanda Kotsmith also scored two runs. Marissa Rothenberger also scored one run and hit two RBI.

    Champlin Park will play four games the following week, traveling to Maple Grove and Brainerd on May 7 and 8, before hosting Osseo and Le Sueur-Henderson on May 9 and 10.
