Summer Concert Series returns to Champaign

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — The Champaign Park District is back with their summer concert series.

The Edison Middle School Band will be performing in Hessel park on Saturday, May 4 at 2 p.m., marking the first concert of the summer.

Park district officials say it’s great opportunity to support the community.

“This is an ongoing tradition for us. There are always our first concerts of the year and the weather’s looking beautiful,” said Chelsea Norton, Champaign Park District Marketing and Development Director. “It’s going to be a really nice opportunity to just come out and enjoy some music. We encourage people to bring their like blankets and lawn chairs and snacks and really make an afternoon of it.”
