One killed in North McPherson Avenue shooting
The Hopkinsville Police Department is investigating a shooting on North McPherson Avenue from Monday afternoon that has killed a man. Public Information Officer Collette Marfil tells WHOP News that the shooting happened just after 5:30 p.m. and when officers arrived at the residence in the 100 block of North McPherson they discovered a victim with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Cadiz residents charged with meth trafficking in Murray
Three individuals, including two Cadiz residents, are facing drug trafficking charges following a traffic stop in Murray Monday. According to the Murray Police Department, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle around 2:30 a.m. on Elm Street for an equipment violation. Investigation during the stop reportedly led to 46-year-old Dion Thompson of Cadiz being charged with first-degree trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and rear license plate not illuminated.

Man Charged With Assaulting A Family Member
A Hopkinsville man was charged after he allegedly assaulted a family member over a cell phone on Pembroke Road Tuesday night. Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say 18-year-old Jaden Johnson got into a fight with family members over taking his great-grandmother’s phone and he threw the phone damaging it then threw a rock hitting a family member in the head.
Fiscal Court, Christian County Regional Animal Shelter Unwind New Concerns
January was another busy month for the Christian County Regional Animal Shelter. That’s according to its executive director, Melissa Goff, who during Tuesday morning’s Christian County Fiscal Court meeting noted that for the month of January, the organization took in 232 animals through the office, 43 through Hopkinsville Animal Control, 14 from Oak Grove, 13 from Trigg County, 17 from Todd County and 34 in returns.

Man wanted in three counties apprehended
A man wanted on a warrant and two criminal summons was arrested Tuesday in Crittenden County. The Crittenden County Sheriff's Department said 52-year-old Robert Wilson was picked up on a Caldwell County warrant and criminal summons in both Graves and Crttienden County. He was taken to the Caldwell County Jail.
