Girl Makes Mass Harm Threat To Old Field Middle School: Cops
An Old Field Middle School official in Greenlawn notified police about the threat Friday afternoon, May 17. The school searched the teen's locker, Suffolk County Police said. She was arrested at the school at approximately 4:30 p.m. and charged with making a threat of mass harm, a Class B misdemeanor.
Fatal Hit-Run Ronkonkoma Crash: 21-Year-Old Woman ID'd
The incident happened at around 3:20 a.m. Monday, May 20, in Ronkonkoma near the intersection of Ronkonkoma Avenue and Third Street. Suffolk County Police said Elyse Crivaro, of Holbrook, was walking across Ronkonkoma Avenue when she was struck by a southbound car. The vehicle, described as a dark colored sedan, fled the scene.

Dance studio closed after Jeep crashes into building
NORWALK, Conn. (WFSB)—The Norwalk Academy of Dance is closed after a vehicle crashed into its building on Westport Avenue. Norwalk police say no injuries were reported. No further information was immediately available. The crash is under investigation.

Suffolk County Police today arrested a store owner for possessing tasers, as well as employees of two stores for selling vape products to an underage person. As part of the department’s “Operation Smoke Out,” Third Precinct Crime Section officers conducted a compliance check at several stores in relations to the sales of vape products and found two stores were not in compliance.

Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are investigating a shooting that seriously injured a Deer Park man in Wyandanch on Saturday, May 18. A 23-year-old man was outside of an autobody shop, located at 366 Long Island Ave., when he was approached by a man on foot and shot twice. The victim ran to a friend’s house on Lakewood Street during which 911 was called at 3:53 p.m.
Fire at 12-story Stamford apartment building sends 2 residents to hospital
A fire prompted the evacuation of a large 12-story apartment building in Stamford on Saturday and two residents were transported to the hospital for an evaluation. Firefighters responded to a residential high rise building with 140 units on Prospect Street around 9:15 p.m. for a report of smoke in the lobby.
