New senior luxury living complex openings in Centennial

Retirement community developer MorningStar Senior Living and Edgemark Development announced it finished constructing a 160-unit complex in Centennial this month.

The Holly Park Community, west of Interstate 25 on 6675 South Holly Street, is a four-story luxury apartment and assisted living complex for seniors.

The building offers 85 independent living units, 50 assisted living and 25 memory care suites.

The new development offers amenities such as an indoor pool, fitness and therapy center, private courtyards and a rooftop terrace with views of the Denver skyline and Rocky Mountains.

“Across our 21-year history, we continue to establish the MorningStar brand in fast-growing regions in step with the expanding need for quality senior living, responsive to the desire of seniors to stay in their neighborhood, close to family and friends and the attractions they’ve come to enjoy,” said the development firm’s CEO Ken Jaeger in a news release.

“MorningStar presents state-of-the-art communities in all the new markets we enter, offering first-class amenities and resort style living to local residents,” he said.

The complex follows another senior living development from MorningStar in Cherry Creek that opened in February. Holly Park Community is MorningStar’s second location in Centennial and 13th in Colorado. The building has 24-hour staff and licensed nurses for assisted living residents.

“We are proud to develop and own Holly Park with MorningStar, who we regard as a best-in-class senior living developer and operator,” stated Edgemark Development managing principal Aaron Metz in the releas. “This project combines the highest quality of care with beautiful and functional design focused on dignity, wellness and community.”

Via 313 pizza is coming to the 303

A popular Austin-based pizza joint serving Detroit-style pizza is coming to Colorado soon.

Via 313 announced it will open a location in Park Meadows off of Interstate 25 in May. It’ll be its first Colorado location and its 18th in the U.S. The nearest location to the Denver area before this new restaurant opening is in Michigan more than 1,200 miles away.

The opening will take place at its new home in the Centennial Promenade shopping center at 9595 E. County Line Road. Via 313’s soft opening begins May 13.

The pizza chain was founded in Austin in 2011 by brothers Zane and Brandon Hunt serving Detroit-style pizzas, rectangular pan pizzas with thick crusts and crispy edges, and becoming a popular joint recognized as one of the top 5 pizzas in America by Food Network.

“Our goal is to bring the best of Detroit to cities across the country,” Via 313 cofounder Brandon Hun said in a statement. “From the small trailer where we started in Austin, Texas, to our first location in Colorado, it’s always about our signature pizzas with crispy, cheesy edges. We can’t wait to start serving guests in the Denver region!”

Opening week will be marked with promotions such as free cheese bread, cinnamon sticks, buy-one-get-one deals or an all day happy hour.
