XENIA - For 13 ½ minutes, Celina was unstoppable. Then Columbus Bishop Watterson took control. The Eagles tied the game at the end of the first half, and then their defense shut the Bulldogs out the rest of the way, sending Celina to a 27-14 loss in the Division III football state semifinals at Doug Adams Stadium in Xenia on Friday.

Coldwater matched their first-half turnover mark of 10 in the third quarter alone, allowing the Trojans to take the lead and pull away for the 37-30 victory on Saturday night at the Palace.
Celina football falls to Bishop Watterson
XENIA — Celina’s hopes of making it to the football state championship fell short Friday night, after a 27-14 loss to Bishop Watterson at Xenia’s Doug Adams Stadium. The Bulldogs scored the first 14 points of the game, on a pair of Braylon Gabes’ rushing touchdowns for a 14-0 lead in the second quarter. That’s when Bishop Watterson came to life, scoring an unanswered 27 points.

Greber key in helping Celina have dream football season. Zach Greber didn't mind being busy for most of the fall sports season. The hard work has - and still is - paying off. FORT RECOVERY - Fort Recovery runner Trevor Heitkamp announced the next step of his career Tuesday, signing a national letter of intent to run at Roberts Wesleyan. Badin football finishes season as DIII regional runner-up to Celina
TROTWOOD ‒ Zach Yordy didn't want to see it come to an end Friday night. Neither did his father, Badin High School football coach Nick Yordy. “I tried, man,” Zach said with emotion. “I tried. These have been the best four years of my life. Playing for my dad and everything else. I’m sad. I’m real sad it had to end this way.”

TROTWOOD - Undefeated Hamilton Badin needed a furious rally in the fourth quarter to get past one Western Buckeye League champion. On Friday, the other one put the Rams away.
