Wisconsin man charged in gold scam
With alleged victims in Madison County and St. Louis, a Wisconsin man has been charged with two counts of theft in an alleged gold coin theft scheme. 37-year-old Ligneshkumar H. Patel is currently being held in the Sheboygan County Jail awaiting extradition to Madison County after getting caught there on suspicion of attempting a similar crime.

SHEBOYGAN – The wheelchair lift at the Washington School Apartments is working again after being inoperable for 12 weeks. The lift was inspected and received a lift operating permit at the beginning of the month, following shaft modifications and electrical structure work that delayed the construction process. Smaller than it should’ve been, part of the wall was extended, and a portion of the stairs were removed to fit the new one.

SHEBOYGAN – The coal-fueled Edgewater Generating Station may convert to natural gas within the next five years as Alliant Energy has announced plans to request the change. The announcement was made in a news release by the company Thursday. The company said in the release the announcement is a “significant milestone” in ensuring Alliant Energy has continued access to affordable, reliable and cleaner resources.
