JACKSON, Tenn. — You may have ran into some traffic on Highway 70 Friday morning in Madison County. There was a morning wreck involving a GMC truck near My Animal Hospital. Our crew arrived a little after 8 a.m. to see cars stopped as they were cleaning up the scene.

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing girl. According to JPD, Chanterria Currie has been missing from the Jackson area since Wednesday, February 21. She was last seen wearing a black shirt and jacket with khaki pants, with her hair in braids. Second arrest made in North Side High School bomb threat
The Madison County Sheriff's Office has made a second arrest in connection with a bomb threat at North Side High School. Sheriff Wiser says his office and a school resource officer identified a 14-year-old student who they believe was also involved in the threat. A 15-year-old was arrested earlier this week.

Madison County Feb 21 Weekly Crime Report: 143 Incidents and 7 Crime Stories. During the last week, Madison County reported a total of 143 crime cases. The most prevalent crime was Assault, with 37 incidents, accounting for approximately 26% of the total crimes. Theft followed as the second most common crime with 28 cases, making up nearly 20% of the total. Arrests were also notable, with 19 instances reported. Violations and Suspicious Situations each accounted for about 7% of the total crimes with 11 and 10 cases respectively. Hit & Run incidents were reported 10 times, matching the count of Suspicious Situations. Other crimes, including Shooting, Vandalism, Burglary, and Trespassing, constituted the rest of the reported incidents. The data indicates a concerning level of criminal activity in the place, with Assault and Theft being the most pressing issues.
