Theft prevention: Wheel locks to be given to owners of Hyundai, Kia vehicles
ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The Lehigh County District Attorney's Office is hoping to prevent the theft of certain vehicles by offering some driver's free lock devices. DA Gavin P. Holihan and the Pennsylvania Auto Theft Prevention Authority announced the upcoming event that will provide driver's of Hyundai and Kia vehicles the free steering wheel lock device.
Bethlehem man bilks stores out of $20K+ in gambling voucher scam, authorities say
A Bethlehem man is accused of running an illegal gambling voucher scam, bilking various stores across eastern Pennsylvania out of over $20,000, authorities said. Anthony M. Diehl, 31, is charged with felony corrupt organizations; felony forgery; three felony theft counts; and felony unlawful duplication, as well as related offenses. Court records did not indicate any attorney information for Diehl. A voicemail left at a phone number listed for Diehl was not immediately returned Monday afternoon.
Cement Worker of the Month: Joseph Liskanich, Keystone Cement
Mr. Joseph Liskanich was raised in Northampton, graduating from Northampton High School in 1976. In high school he especially enjoyed science classes. Joe was a wrestler in the 126-pound class and won fourth place in district wrestling. In football, he played cornerback and was part of the Konkrete Kids 1975 Lehigh Valley League Championship team. The Thanksgiving Day game with Catasauqua was always a highlight of the football season. His football coaches were Lou Wolf and Charlie Wogenrich.

A man was hospitalized following a stabbing Saturday near a Bethlehem park, city police said. Bethlehem Police Capt. Nicholas P. Lechman said the incident unfolded around 10:45 p.m. in the area of Friendship Park, in the 200 block of East North Street.
