Cassopolis set to host 2024 Beach Bash

CASSOPOLIS — From food trucks and fireworks to a beer garden and live music, one local community is pulling out all the stops for its annual summer celebration.

The Cassopolis Main Street Committee is set to host Beach Bash ‘24 throughout downtown Cassopolis Friday, May 31 and Saturday, June 1.

Events begin at 4 p.m. Friday, May 31 and 11 a.m. Saturday, June 1. That Saturday, a vendor market will be taking place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. featuring artists, antiques, crafters and goods.

Headlining bands include One Man Band Entertainment and PS Dump Your Boyfriend on Friday night and One Man Band Entertainment and BLAMMO on Saturday night. Festivities will end with a bang on both nights, with a drone show scheduled for 10 p.m. Friday and fireworks scheduled for 10 p.m. Saturday.

A beer garden will be open both nights beginning at 4 p.m. Friday, May 31 (and noon Saturday, June 1) and will be located at the Sinclair Station at the corner of Jefferson Street and Broadway Street. May 31 beer garden tips will be a donation to Ronald McDonald House and June 1 will be a donation to Helping Hands of Cass County.

For younger attendees, a free children’s area will be open from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday. The area, located on Broadway between State Street and Water Street, will feature inflatable attractions, face painting, crafts, a petting zoo and more.

Food vendors include Taqueria Don Chepe, Dine and Dash, Blume, SWAT, Cottage Inn, Diana’s Kitchen, Honey Bunnies and Drive Thru Q.
