Canyon ISD votes unanimously for former pastor to fill Place 4 seat
CANYON - The Canyon Independent School District school board of trustees voted unanimously Monday to fill its vacant Place 4 trustee seat with Randall Davis. Davis will fill the seat Bill Jenkins vacated in December of last year. A vocal minority of the community called for a special election to replace Jenkins, but due to time and cost, the board decided to name an interim replacement.

Amarillo man, 52, dies in 2-vehicle crash on Osage Street Monday
An Amarillo resident was killed in a two-vehicle crash near the city on Monday afternoon in Randall County. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), at about 4:30 p.m. Monday, May 13, a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu was heading south on South Osage Street, while 2013 GMC Sierra towing a trailer was heading north on Osage, about 2.76 miles south of Amarillo.
