    1 dead after early morning wreck in Canyon

    CANYON, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Canyon Police Department reports on its social media page that one woman has died after an early morning car wreck in Canyon.

    According to the Canyon Police, on Monday at approximately 1:05 a.m., police were dispatched to a wreck involving a pedestrian in the 1900 block of 10th Ave.

    Police stated that during the investigation, “officers learned that Ulise DeLao, age 28, struck Brittany Torres, age 27, while Torres was standing outside of the vehicle.”

    Torres was pronounced dead at the scene, according to CPD, and DeLao has been arrested for “Intoxication Manslaughter.”

    The crash is under investigation by the Canyon Police Department.
