West Texas A&M to host 2024 Lone Star Conference softball tournament May 2-4

Number eight seed Texas A&M Kingsville defeats number nine Camron in a close game that went down to the wire ending 9-8.

West Texas A&M will take on Texas A&M Kingsville at 6:30 p.m. today for a chance to advance to the semifinals game.

CANYON, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — West Texas A&M University announced that it’s softball team is set to begin its postseason at Schaeffer Park in Canyon as the Number two seed in the Lone Star Conference.

In the LSC Tournament, the Lady Buffs will face the winner out of Texas A&M-Kingsville and Cameron who will play at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Lady Buffs will take the field at around 6:30 p.m. following that game.

According to WTAMU, a win from the Lady Buffs would advance them to the semifinals game held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday and a second win would place them in the championship game on Saturday.

Following the conference tournament, officials added that the Lady Buffs will await their seeding for the NCAA Tournament during the NCAA Selection Show on Monday, May 6 at 9 a.m.
