CANTON ‒ A 28-year-old man was shot Sunday on Alan Page Drive SE in the Skyline Terrace apartment complex.
The victim was treated for a leg wound at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital .
Police who were called to the 600 block of Alan Page at 10:46 p.m. also reported that shots were fired through an apartment's sliding glass door and a vehicle windshield. A man hit by glass from the window did not require medical treatment. Police collected a bullet that lodged in a couch.
At 1:22 a.m. Monday, a caller told a dispatcher that the suspect was in an apartment in the 600 block of Alan Page.

Officers returned to the location and made announcements telling the suspect to leave the building. Officers subsequently searched a majority of the units, but did not find the suspect.
The shooting victim, who is homeless, told police that the assault occurred after he decided to hang out with a large group of people on Alan Page.
At one point, a few of the males began to argue. One of them pulled a gun and aimed it at someone. While the homeless man was trying to pull his own gun from his backpack, the other man started shooting, authorities said.
When the victim tried running, he started to stumble and realized he had been hit. He started to return fire.
The homeless man ran to an apartment where a man wrapped his leg in a shirt and drove him to the hospital.
Officers collected shell casings, live rounds and bullet fragments from the area where the shooting occurred.
