    Vote: Who is the SARTA Athlete of the Week for April 22-28?

    It's time to take a look at the standout high school performers from Stark County for the past week .

    Your vote will determine who will be the SARTA High School Athlete of the Week for April 22-28. We will pick one girl and one boy. Each athlete's credentials are listed above the poll — which will be live until 5 p.m. Thursday. The winners will be announced Friday morning on CantonRep.com .

    Now, let's meet the candidates. And if the poll at the bottom of each group of nominees doesn't load, please click here for the girls and click here for the boys .

    Here's a look at the girls nominees, in alphabetical order:

    Caitlin Bing, Perry softball

    Struck out 10 in pitching a one-hit shutout in a 1-0 win over Tuslaw.

    Courtney Helle, Jackson softball

    Pitched a three-hit shutout in a 3-0 win over Louisville.

    Trinity Lamp, Massillon track and field

    Swept the hurdles at the Nikki Reynolds Invitational, winning the 100s in 15.35 and 300s in 46.72.

    Ella Letosky, North Canton Hoover softball

    Pitched a three-hit shutout in a 4-0 win over Jackson.

    Evelyn Lynn, Canton South softball

    Hit six home runs in six games last week, and also had an eight-RBI game, a four-RBI game and three three-hit games.

    Ava Streb, North Canton Hoover girls lacrosse

    Scored three goals in a 9-4 win over Hathaway Brown.

    Lexi Tucci, Sandy Valley track and field

    Won three individual events — high jump (5-4), long jump (17-9) and 100 (12.89) — plus a relay (800) in helping lead the Cardinals to the team title at the Larry Cogan Invitational.

    Here's a look at the boys nominees, in alphabetical order:

    Ryan Bruni, Alliance baseball

    Helped the Aviators clinch at least a share of a second straight EBC title, going a combined 6-for-6 with four RBIs, four runs and three steals in a two-game league sweep of Minerva, including a four-hit game when drove in three and had two doubles.

    Colin Cernansky, Marlington track and field

    Broke the all-time Stark County record in the 3,200 meters with a time of 8:58.96 at the Wayne Invitational, becoming the first county high school runner to break the 9-minute mark in the event.

    Grant Coblentz, Lake Center Christian baseball

    Pitched a three-hit shutout in a 9-0 win over Rootstown, adding two doubles and two RBIs as a hitter.

    Nick Petro, Sandy Valley baseball

    Went 4-for-4 with four runs while also pitching a two-hit shutout in a 10-0 win over Indian Valley.

    Cooper Rice, Louisville baseball

    Went 4-for-4 with two runs and an RBI in a 9-4 win over Boardman.

    Olly Schrader, East Canton baseball

    Pitched two shutouts, a one-hitter with 11 strikeouts in a 12-0 win over Youngstown East and a two-hitter with seven Ks in a 3-0 win over Newcomerstown.

    Ben Sibert, GlenOak baseball

    Pitched a one-hit shutout in a 5-0 win over Perry.
