    Welfare check leads to confinement; intimidation arrest in Cannelton

    HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – A welfare check in Cannelton lead to one man’s arrest on multiple charges including criminal confinement, intimidation and possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon.

    Authorities say they were following up on a welfare check at a residence in the Clifton Heights area on April 29. While at the scene, a woman reportedly left the residence and told authorities that Charles Bolin Jr., 47, of Cannelton was inside, and there was a firearm inside the home.

    Man charged with sexual misconduct; confinement of 14-year-old

    Officers were able to bring Bolin into custody after several attempts to talk to him using a public address system. During a search of the scene, law enforcement reportedly found a firearm, methamphetamine, marijuana and paraphernalia.

    Bolin was booked into the Perry County Detention Center on the following charges:

    • Dealing in methamphetamine (10 or more grams)
    • Possession of methamphetamine (Between 10 and 28 grams)
    • Unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon
    • Unlawful possession or use of a legend drug
    • Criminal confinement
    • Intimidation
    • Possession of marijuana
    • Possession of paraphernalia
