Gardening aficionados, or those just looking to spruce up a space in their yard, will have plenty to check out during this year’s Spring Garden Fair in Canby.

The annual Clackamas County Master Gardeners will return with the 40th edition of the garden fair, and as always there will be something for just about everyone interested in the yard and garden arena on May 4-5 at the Clackamas County Event Center and fairgrounds in Canby.

Visitors can explore a wide range of annuals, perennials, and specialty plants, all carefully chosen to thrive in the Pacific Northwest climate, while there will be booths aplenty that specialize in gardening supplies, tools, and garden art crafted by local artisans, adding personalized touches to outdoor spaces.

Along the way, folks can discover exciting new plant varieties and bid in the silent auction.

As always, there will be the plant taxi service where students from various area clubs will tow a wagon ready to be filled with purchases. Need more than one wagon load? No problem. A plant check system will store purchases until visitors are ready to leave.

As always, Master Gardener volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and offer free personalized guidance. The popular “10-Minute University” sessions will return to cover a range of gardening topics.

The Spring Garden Fair will also include children’s activities, exhibits and more at the exhibitions center on the Main Lawn. There will be a free potting station, soil testing, a raffle, the Good Thyme Food Court, and plenty more.

This year’s Garden Fair will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $7 for a single day pass, $12 for a weekend pass. Parking is free. To purchase tickets early and for more information, go to https://clackamascountyfair.com/events/. For updates and information, go to www.springgardenfair.org or check Facebook via SpringGardenFair.
